Hatchkin Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Hatchkin creates an anonymous account and installation identifier so the game can keep one secure, server-backed Haven. If you choose to protect your progress with Sign in with Apple, we may receive the relay or contact email address Apple provides and associate that protected account with the same Haven. Hatchkin does not receive your Apple ID password.

We store the game information you create and use, including Eggs, Hatchkins, names, ages, care and lifecycle state, Nests, decorations, achievements, inventory, Buttons, and game history. Optional social features may also store the Haven showcase, friend visits, blocks, and reports you choose to use.

Purchases

We process product identifiers and verified App Store transaction, fulfillment, refund, and revocation records to deliver purchases exactly once and help recover them when appropriate. Apple handles payment and billing information. Hatchkin does not receive or store your payment-card number.

Device features and local information

Hatchkin may keep app preferences and presentation state on your device, secure session credentials in Keychain, and information needed for notifications and Live Activities. You control notification and Live Activity permissions through Hatchkin and iOS Settings.

Support and safety

If you contact us, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We may use security and operational records such as request identifiers, server revisions, bounded error details, and rate-limit events to prevent abuse, investigate failures, and keep game records consistent.

How information is used and shared

Information is used only to operate and improve Hatchkin, save and restore progress, provide social features you choose to use, verify purchases, maintain security, comply with law, and answer support requests.

Hatchkin relies on Apple for App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple, Game Center, notifications, and other platform services; Supabase for authentication, database, and server functions; and Google Cloud for private purchase-verification services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations. We do not share information with advertising data brokers.

Your choices

• Play without publishing a Haven or connecting social features.
• Disable notifications or end a Live Activity at any time.
• Use in-app privacy controls to remove a showcase, block a player, or report content when those features are available.
• Request help, access, correction, or deletion by contacting support.
• Delete a server-backed Hatchkin account from inside the app.

Retention and deletion

We retain active Haven information while the account is used. In-app account deletion requests removal of the account and its associated Haven, Hatchkins, Eggs, and social data. Limited transaction, fraud-prevention, safety, financial, or legal records may be retained when required to protect players, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Apple manages App Store purchase history separately.

Children and families

Hatchkin does not ask for a real name, birth date, precise location, contacts, photos, camera access, microphone access, health data, or payment-card details to play. If you believe a child provided personal information through support or a social feature, contact us so we can review and address it.
